Blue Economy Development : MBRC, becomes the new Canadian associate member of BICA
Rimouski, April 8th 2015.
– The Marine Biotechnology Research Centre (MBRC) is officially an associated member of the BioMarine International Clusters Association (BICA).
BICA is an international industrial association completely dedicated to the networking of successful organizations from the sector of the marine bioresources to support the industrial development of a blue economy
The BICA is an initiative which accelerates the industrial collaborations, the technological development between industrial groups, start-ups and major institutions of the sectors of the blue economy such as fish farming, clean technologies, cosmetics, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and biotechnologies. With BICA, main actors of the sector of the marine bioresources have an international structure allowing them to create new partnerships and to reach various sources of funding.
The MBRC is proud to be a member of this large-scale association and to share its expertise in the marine biotechnologies for industry related to sustainable exploitation of seas and oceans resources. According to Mr. Guy Viel, CEO of the MBRC : " BICA sees companies as places where it can emerge innovative practices and applications which can allow us to progress economically without compromising the future of our natural resources."
